njcandle
Using Ecosoya PB Pillar Blend with LX 14's as noted by CS and they seem to be underwicked as a slight tunnel forms and then implodes as it burns down. Anyone have any ideas for a better wick for this wax in votives??? Thanks!!!
njcandle
Going to try an HTP 52.. might be a little too much and might have to back it down to a 41.. We will see
Stella1952
I like CDs for PB votives. I use sizes 5-7 depending on the actual size of the votive. I buy mine from Lone Star because they have the smaller sizes needed. HTH a slight tunnel forms and then implodes as it burns downYou are testing these in a close-fitting container, right? rjdaines
I went to an LX-18 for the pillar blend in votives and that worked if they were in a tight fitting holder, if not you end up with a dark candle with a lot of unburned waxed. I having not tired the CD wicks but HTP would be a good choice to start with. I suggest getting sample wick packs.
TallTayl
I wonder if some of it has to do with the batch of wax. I'd used LX14's very successfully until my latest wax shipment. This batch (well to be fair this wax with an FO I had not tested before) seems more brittle than previous batches.
