carol k
Does anybody know where to find a horse head mold that would be suitable for making tarts? I want to help out a local horse rescue group by selling tarts in the shape of a horse head.
pleasureridgecandles
Don't know if these would work but maybe this could help steer you in the right direction. I've not used the plastic molds for tarts so not sure if they could withstand the heat from the wax?? http://www.scottcrewcandlesupply.com/store/agora.cgi?cart_id=14021048.16109&p_id=ILA1099&xm=on&ppinc=detail&hdr=mAnimal

carol k
Thank you. I did check out the ones at scottcrew. I'm just not sure if they would hold up & not break easily.
SuzyK
I just did a search on Etsy. There's quite a few horse molds, but they only make 1 at a time.
pleasureridgecandles
That's about all I could find when I did a search, other than soap molds. Found alot of soap molds and some candle molds, but, those all looked to be much bigger than what you'd want for tarts. If I come across any others I'll let you know. Surely someone out there has them.

carol k
Thank you, ladies. I found a cameo with a horse head on ebay. Do you think that would look ok?
ProudMarineMom
Not sure what the one looks like on eBay, but I did a quick google search on horse head cameo. If it looks like any that I saw, I think it will look great. Would probably be easier to wrap and label as well.Kudos for helping out a very worthy cause.
