Kelley
Hey! I'm a new one! I was wondering if anyone has used the Peak pre-blended pillar wax mp145? I am new to making candles and ordered some and I was wondering what kinds of candles you could make with it. I fiqured if anyone could answer my questions, one of you could. Everyone seems to be very knowledgeable here! Thanks!
Scented
Hey Kelley welcome to the board and to candlemaking I would think making pillars outta it You probably won't get it to mottle given it's a preblend, but you should be able to do many other things with it. Fern
Hi Kelly! I don't use Peak's new pre-blended pillar wax but I wanted to welcome you to the board anyway. I figure just about any pre-blended pillar wax will work about the same. Some may require different size wicks but you can make pillars, votives and tarts with that wax. A couple of things you won't be able to do with a pre-blended wax is make mottles or rustics. If you want to make those, you'll have to use a straight paraffin wax. FYI: When using a pre-blended wax, you don't want to add any additives since they are already in it. Nice to have you join us and make sure you show us your creations in the Gallery section of the board.

Kelley
Thanks so much for your input! I will be getting my wax next week sometime. I can't wait to play with it. I will put some pics up. Maybe it won't be too hard to make some candles good enough to give my friends at least!
