bayougirl
Hi all,I'm going to make a soap sometime today, Bazooka Bubblegum scent (for the kids at Christmas). I handrolled some colored soaps into balls (if you can call them that) and am planning to put them in a pink soap batch. The question, how do you make them look more uniform? Do you wet them after getting them in the shape you need to make them smoother for the top of the soap? Do I need to do anything special to them when adding them to the pink soap base? Thanks a bunch.

MissMori
You don't necessarily have to do balls, you can do logs and get a similar look. It shouldn't matter too much if your balls aren't perfect. You are making a hand made product after all.
chuck_35550
I borrowed that from one of Rae's post on the BB photo. I think Barbara Al uses an Upland round mold that she imbeds the whole piece through the soap. I could be wrong about that. It has the appearance of a round ball in the soap but the melon ball mold is for attatching colored balls on the top of the soap. HTH. Kitn
You can use melon baller or something of that nature to make them as close to the same size as possible.
bayougirl
I actually bought one for this project and ended up rolling them anyway, easier. Photos are in the gallery.
