tracey11474
Can you turn most lotion bases into a whipped product? I just got some Shea and Aloe Lotion from WSP and it is pretty thick. Not quite a cream but thicker than a lotion. I'm wondering if I can add fragrance to it and then whip it in my mixer to make it fluffier? Kitn
I would try making a small batch and see what you think. You might be onto something wonderful there.
ladysj
I have done that with a lotion base before & yes it can be done.
LuminousBoutique
adding some stearic and e-wax might help, as well. Melt down maybe 2% stearic and 5% ewax per the lotion weight... this will firm the recipe up slightly.. and perhaps make it easier to whip. Chill it down, that makes it easier to whip as well. wexford
Curious to hear how it turned out. I've never attempted it, but like the feel of whipped lotion.
