pixie
I had high hopes for this FO and I LOVE the smell of kettle corn but this one failed miserably for me. To me it doesnt smell like kettle corn at all, it has a very burnt smell to it. Has anyone else noticed this? My husband actually said "ewww, whats THAT?" when he picked up the candle to smell it. kitchenfairy
I thought it was ok, but I've never put it in wax (I do B& but Snowdrift Farms also has a very nice kettle corn that smelled a little more corny to me. Worth a shot! Edited September 25, 2010 by kitchenfairy to give the right supplier
Judy, USMC
When I got mine out to my testers the reviews weren't that great either; most just said it wasn't their cup of tea. The hot and cold throw was fine. Guess it's one of those love-it or hate-it aromas.
mzpickles
I thought it smelled like Kettle Corn but it was way too strong for me, almost made me gag when I poured it!
cinnamon
I did a test pour of it and it was just 'ok', but smelled more like unbuttered popcorm to me than kettle corn. I had a tester that really liked it, but he also agreed that it wasn't quite kettle corn. Thinking of maybe adding a titch of caramel to it. redquilt
Last year, at the local market, my booth stood down wind of the kettle corn maker and when I tried CS Kettle Corn I found it definately to be way too salty in comparison to the real deal. From memory, I felt CS's kettle corn needed a little more sweetness, less salt, and perhaps a little more caramelto smell like the kettle corn I was accustomed to smelling at the market..
