Anyway looks like a damned nice rustic votive to me. As for the distribution of frost, it gotta have something to do with the cooling rate so you'll have to use your noodle to figure out how that works and how to work with it if you want something different.

I think you could also experiment with the amount of stearic if you want. Stearic separates from wax as it cools and that's where the frost comes from.

They'd practically be made of frost.
