felixncharlie
Hi Everyone,Happy 4 th! Can anyone tell me what LX wick would be comparable to a zinc 51-32 ? I am currently using zincs and want to try lx's. Thanks
Candybee
A lot depends on the diameter and jar size. The ones I tried in place of 51z are in the LX18, 20, or 22 size in a 16 oz mason jar. That should give you a starting point.
felixncharlie
oops sorry it's a 3" diam straight sided tumbler with a parasoy mix very light on the soy. 51-32's seem to be doing the trick but I'm always experimenting:) Thanks
TwinMom
I am trying to figure out some wick comparables too...I have been googling trying to find a conversion chart and no such luck
B@BlissStreet
I use HTP 93 often in place of 51-32-18. It burns just slightly cooler and slower in EL Millenium Soy Container. I have success with both, but if I double wick a larger container than 8 oz, I go for double wicking with the 93. e.g. 16 oz jars. ChrisR
http://www.wicksunlimited.com/atkins_pearce_zinc_core_wicks.phpGo to this site and compare the properties of your zinc wick then go to the page of LX wicks and do the same. It may not be exactly equal, but it will give you a starting point.
