candlesprite7
Ok i made this Marble last night and i like how the marbling turned out. My question is about the finish of the candle, It has...little...grooves, pocks, not sure what to call them, but the surface is not completely smooth like a regular pillar usually is. Is this just a trait of the marbled candle? or is there something I can do to avoid this?
Scented
Some of that is probably a given for that kind of candle, because of the slush stage it's poured in, but did you beat your mold on the counter to get the wax to settle after pouring? candlesprite7
Yep sure did, and I banged the side with my spoon and everything. Maybe I let it cool too long before I stirred it? Practice makes perfect right? I was just curious. I still think it looks pretty.
SatinDucky
I zap the outside of the mold a bit before I beat on it. Helps the bubbles come up. Not too long though or all the color mixes in. Some surface flaws always remain in mine. Nature of the beast, I figure
Pam W
I get this too especially when I let the wax get too cool. The heat gun helps to some extent.
