asheebeans
I made some cream soap and still had some little teeny chunks in it so I thought I would hit it with a mixer really quick. ....the only trouble with that theory is that the soap was still in the crockpot. I used my whisk attachment instead of my stickblender and whisked it really well, even adding a bit of preservative in it too. When I transferred my cream soap from the crockpot to a clean empty coconut oil bucket to rot, I noticed silver marks from my whisk ALL OVER the bottom and up a tiny bit of the sides of my crockpot!!! When I tried to wash them, the marks will not come off. Do you think the crockpot is ok to use for soap or is it trash? I could kick myself for not putting it in the bucket first, before I mixed it well! Duh!! :embarasse Please tell me my crockpot is still good to make liquid soap in! I'm on vacation and that was my next thing to try! LOL
*Dee*
I have that in mine and have used it again and its fine. i think the length of time we can keep using it will be shortened but it is fine to keep using until you know its junk.

CareBear
I've found that after soaping in my crockpot I have trouble cleaning it after cooking food in it - the finish is damaged. But the food tastes fine.

TexasBrat
Mine have it too. I use crockpot liners when I use my crock to cook with now since I started making soap in it.
