donna4909
They have some problems, but I expected that. *lol*This one is Mango Mandarin, the very first I did. I am limited to tan, purple, and blue dye at the moment, and my boyfriend picked the tan for these. Sure looks like crap, but it smells nice. :rolleyes2 And my second votives, these are berries buttercream, and they look a bit better. And I did one in the octagon mold (which I love) but I think I did too much of an overpour. The "lip" looks pretty bad.
TerriWV
I can't see them real well, but from what I see they look pretty good.

moonrose64
Well for your 1st votives you did a great job. Sometimes I fight with my votives so much I throw em back in the pot. Your tops look great

DeeB
They look nice..how does the Mango Mandarin smell in the wax. I have it, like the smell OOB but haven't tried it in wax yet.Dee
Scented
Lovely soft pink color.
donna4909
DeeB: Funny thing, I hated the Mango Mandarin OOB, but love it in wax. It really softens up a lot, if that makes sense.Scented: It's actually a light pastel purple. I'm trying to get used to coloring this parafin... Everything has been lighter than I planned. It seems to take a lot more dye than gel wax does. And thanks for all the nice comments!
SatinDucky
For just starting, you're doing good. It'll come easier with time.

Mozzie
I don't see anything wrong with any of those and I think that the colours are lovely, really subtle. Keep on votive-ing, you're doing a great job.
Asher
Sometimes I fight with my votives so much I throw em back in the pot.Ha! I'm well versed in this practice.Donna, since these are your first batch of votives I wonder if you are using wick pins. If not, you can save yourself so much time and frustration by getting some for yourself. I spent a few years without them and had to center the wicks manually. Of course, I didn't know wick pins existed until a few months ago.
