Bernadette
I think I'm on burnout because I just cannot figure this one out. I have a customer that wants to know the quantity of pool candles to purchase for an August wedding. She says the pool is kidney shaped - 20' x 35' rough dimensions. She wants a "normal" presentation - not too few, not too many, just right! The candles she's looking at are 4" diameter. So how many would you recommend she purchase? debscent
Am I assuming a floating candle is a pool candle, or is this to decorate around the pool (not in water)? Edited April 12, 2010 by debscent
Bernadette
It's a candle to float in the pool.
Candybee
If my calculation is right thats 700 square feet of pool surface. If you have one candle per square foot thats 700 candles. Sounds like an awful lot of candles to light up. I am guessing that 150-200 would be plenty.
bah67
Actually the square footage would be less than 700SF, since the pool is a kidney shape, and assuming that the "corners" of the pool are round. It would be more like 475-550SF, once you take the curve and angles into account. HTH
barncat
Just rmember most likely they will all bunch up together as the wind blows the water. I seen weddings like that before that were in ponds and they all huddled together. My thoughts are like 20-30, but i have no idea. Below is a link about securing them so they dont move.http://www.thathomesite.com/forums/load/entertain/msg011536232353.html?
