LuminousBoutique
What kind of texture does this have? I know its coconut oil with aloe leaf extract... so is it more the texture of 76 degree coconut oil, solid at room temp.... or creamier like virgin coconut oil? Can it be subbed for Shea or Mango butter in a body butter type recipe? I simply dont have use for it in anything but this ONE recipe a friend passed on so I'd love to know if there is anything I do use regularly that it can be subbed for. Andee
It is similar to the 76° and the virigin. It has a bit more body than the 76°, but it isn't like palm oil. I use it in lip balm, lotions, creams, and body butters. It will make a softer product if you replace shea butter with aloe butter. If you adjust your formulation, or it is too viscose to begin with, then the replacement is fine.Andeeblog.thesage.com Edited February 8, 2010 by Andee

country bee
I use aloe butter in soap making and it is not a hard butter and not as soft as coconut oil.I like it.
Candybee
I've used the Shea Aloe from WSP. Its solid at room temp. I just love it. I make a creamy body butter with it.
