oakbrookcandles
The coloring is off a bit still tweaking it. Crust is a pillar container mixture with container blend for the " filling" I made several without wicks still testing. Scented with JS pumpkin pie spice. Need to work on the icing looks plain without it. Maybe gonna mess with icing bags later today, see how that looks.Any ideas for something on the top?The chocolate one came out good i think. The crust color needs work. Dunno about the lattice. Was just seeing if i could hand make the lattice. Maybe just go with a dollop of cream? kimmeroo
I think the dollop would be better...you are very creative...I don't think I have ever seen an actual pumpkin pie candle(that I remember), they are always apple.Keep up the good work!Kim:smiley2: Edited November 20, 2009 by kimmeroo
oakbrookcandles
Only potential problem i see with a dollop would be it melting and flodding the wick. When i get to making a few more to test will post about it. Still thinking about some other ideas. A pumpkin roll has my interest now.. Apple dumplings sound yummy too... ahh so many choices.... Jokerjen
For my pumpkin pies I put dollops all around the outer edge of the pie...

Vicky_CO
I have piped wax it can be done you just have to work very fast once you get you wax to the right whipped consistency.
mparadise
I do a dollup of whipped wax in the center (with wicks coming up thru it) on my pumpkin pies without a problem. I just whipped the wax with a cheap electric hand mixer (<$10?? at Walmart if I remember correctly) the plop it on with a small spoon or fork. Works great!
