blondiee
I hate to ask such a "newbie" question, but my attempts at searching have not led me to the answer. This is my virgin run at CP and I'm sooo not feeling very confident! I made it on Sunday but haven't been able to get back to it until 2-nite. It's a little soft and a tad bit oily but I think it's a go. So I took it out of the mold, sliced it up and set it in a cardboard flat on some paper towel. Now what? leisa2003
I keep mine covered in Glad containers.
DONNAMAC
If you mean to cover it during the curing process, I say no. The ramaining water in it need to evaporate, and the soap needs to harden. I leave mine on racks, not covered and turn them every now and then. leisa2003
Oh, did you mean for curing? You want it to sit out. After it has cured you can then put it into containers to store. blondiee
Thanx for confirming just what I thought. :smiley2: I didn't put it on any kind of rack cuz it seems a little soft, but I think I have something I can use once it hardens up a little more. I did mean while it was curing. I plan to store it in a Rubbermaid-type container eventually.
Platypus Moon
I think some people cover it in the mold with saran(think that's what you call it) to prevent "ash" forming on top.
