jwn6w
Hi,I was wondering if anybody has made dried homemade potpourri and how you do it. I have been reading up on it but do not really understand what they mean when they say for example (add dried orange peel) does this mean to dry it with a dehydrator like you would apple slices or just let it dry up and get old. All the recipes I have seen tell you what to use but not how to actually dry the stuff. I would appreciate any input you could give me.Thanks a lot
Camay
well, I am lazy and buy everything already dried from www.sfherb.comI bet somthings would be cheaper to make at home though.
Winter_Willow
all oranges and orange peels need to be dried. If not, you will get mold. range prices have been high for the past 2 years, and may not be cost effective to make your own. about half of my potpourri ingredients come from lebermuth. If you are needing just a pound or two, the best place to order would be sfherb.com.
Camay
Wow, Lebermuth has tons of cool potpourri stuff. thanks for posting that Winter Willow. I wish they sold by the pound though.
Winter_Willow
I'm not sure what you are needing. But I do have another source on the west coast who will sell by the pound. it is not sfherb.com. tell me what you are looking for, I might be able to locate it close to you.
