EarthGlow
HI thereI am using square jars with no lid for my candles...does anyone have any packaging ideas? I have been searching for cardboard inserts for the tops to protect the wax but i cannot find them...ThanksKarin
ShelleyBean
I made up a few candles as a gift and used the square libby jar from dollar tree and what I did was use card stock, layed the jar upside down and traced around the jar. Then I came in just a bit when I cut it out and it fit down in the jar perfectly. I used a regular hole punch to make room for the wicks to come through. I then put the whole thing in a cello bag with rafia ribbon to tie it off. I wish I had a picture of the finished product but I hope it still makes a bit of sense. van_yulay
I use fabric and ribbon. They look nice. I use pinking scissors sometimes or frey the edges.
Jeana
Another idea could be to use the transparency film for overhead projectors and cut it to the size you need. I've done this with a circle cutter for round containers but you could do it easier for a square container with a slide cutter. You can still punch a hole for the wick. Everytime I use cardstock or paper for candles some of the oils absorb on to it. The plastic wouldn't do that. You get the film at Staples, and it is $20 for 100 sheets. mparadise
I use shrinkwrap then tie a nice ribbon around it to hide the seams with a glue dot or double sided tape to hold the ribbon in place.
