msalex28a
I'd like to order from WSP these glass jars for candles but I was wondering if it would be alright to use these plastic lids with them or do I need to use metal?
grama
Those lids will be fine, in fact I like them better than metal or whatever lids. I have both the jar and lid and love them. They make a rather classey looking candle to me.
msalex28a
Ok good. Thanks so much.
Monvi33
I use jars like that, although I use the black metal twist lids. They really make a very classy candle.
msalex28a
Where do you get the black metal ones? I can't find any.
Camay
I'm guessing a regular 70 mm lug lid would fit. They sell black ones in that size at FillmoreContainer.com
Monvi33
Where do you get the black metal ones? msalex28a
It says it is a 9 oz. Will it hold more like 10 oz or is 9 the max?
grama
It isn't going to hold 9oz, and neither will the WSP hold an actual 9oz of wax. They are giving fl oz. It will take about 7oz of wax
msalex28a
How many ounces is it capable of holding? What do you write on the label for oz?
grama
Probably 7oz.
Monvi33
How many ounces is it capable of holding? What do you write on the label for oz?You have to write the net wt. Which I agree is about 7 oz.
Brenda (OH)
Depending on if your jars are the lug, or CT thread Fillmore has both in black. www.fillmorecontainer.com They have lots of choices, and are great people to deal with.If you are using the CT style jar and lid the 70 mm black CT lids will not secure tightly. They continue to screw around the jar threads. I found out the hard way. Fillemore has lid recommendations for each jar on their site. This FYI is for the CT jar and lid only, I cannot say on the lug style since I don't use that type. HTH
msalex28a
How much do you guys charge for these sizes? And if you carry the 4 oz what do you charge for those as well?
grama
I just figure in the jar, lid, & cost of shipping and then divide by the number ordered to arrive at the cost per jar and then mark them up by however method you use.
