Bungee Cord Storage

Recommended Posts

Am I the only one addicted to bungee cords? These are some of the handiest things ever invented and I use lots of them in transporting my stuff to shows. But is there any way to store them so they won't be tangled? I try to stow them away neatly between uses but invariably I pull out a tangled mass!

Now my addiction to peg boards is another story........

Some good ideas here--I always keep them hanging from a pegboard at home and run into trouble when stowing them away quickly while setting up for shows. I just realized that instead of taking a board or something to the show to wrap them around, I could just wrap them around boxes--another "DUH" momeht!!

Thanks,

Jane

my dad is a bungee freak, and being full time in an RV, theres always a million uses for them, but not a lot of space to stow 'em. He's picked up a couple of those tube mailers in a heavier weight cardboard and cut them to different lengths for the bungees. He then strings them from one end to the other on the inside and out, they stay straight and untangled and he can just grab a tube for the length he needs and have as many cords as he needs in that length. The tubes also stack pretty neatly in the stowage bns too.

I love the "bungee board" idea.

Go to Hope Depot and buy a cheap pegboard. Cut it into a few different sizes.

Drill some of the holes bigger to fit the bungees with bigger hooks.

Now you have several "bungee boards" and they didn't cost you 20 bucks each plus tax and shipping.

We do similar, but use a wide pvc pipe that my husband cuts to size.
