Scent Cellar
Congratulations on getting that first lotion batch under your belt. Making product from scratch is so satisfying.

beloved
I love making lotions more than making soap now. I do have some cream soap that i make and will never be able to stop now my bf would kill me she is hocked on it..... The next thing on the list should be body butter there is a great one by .......... can't rememeber her name.... miniiB
congrats !!! i started actually the complete opposite order. Bath and body, soap, then candles and i seem to be enjoying the whole candle thing alot. Bath and body is fun though because then you can make things for yourself that doesnt cost a rediculous price like you would buy at a store. soulm8socal
Congratulations, I enjoy making Lotions. Even when the ziplock bag opens as I'm filling bottles and 3/4 gallon of lotion spills on my leg, feet and all over my kitchen floor. Have the softest leg (only one) and feet (both) and floor in the area. It's amazing how creative one's language can get in that situation I made my first lotion today..and scented it with Eo's..My husband came in, I told him I was having more fun than a person should be allowed to have..lolI started out with candles,,then soap,,and now I'm venturingout to bath & body...I am loving it..It is the most enjoyable hobby that I have ever had.. ladysj
I've made a couple of lotions. Still tweaking them. I've tried using the ziploc bags & the disposable cake decorating bags. However, everytime I have used those it broke my lotions down & it all separated. So I'm going to have to try to find another method I ruined both batches using the plastic bags. cdesousa5
That should not have ruined your lotions.
8-GRAN-ONES
i have not had a problem with seperation...using the ziploc way to fill.i did use a tried and true recipe, for my first lotion experiance..i used LotionCrafters Capbrells Goat Milk Lotion..it is listed in the formulary..I decided to use it, to get a feel formaking lotions, before trying my own..And I love the feel of this recipe..it is a very good consistancy..
