How do you label your MP soap

How do you know where to add it in the listing if you don't know what the % of each ingredient in the base is?

That's my thought too.

So say you added 2% FO & 3% shea butter, how would you know where to put them if you list them according to %s.

I would "assume" the FO would come before the preservative, but where would you add in the shea if you didn't know what the %s are of the other ingredients in the base?

I don't know about the legalities of it, but the other day I saw some Burt's Bees glycerin soap and it's ingredients listing was "vegetable soap base, non-fat powered milk, etc etc" or something like that...

So could you do "Soap Base (x, y, z), shea butter, fragrance" ???

I list all of my ingredients on my soap. If your not sure where to add your ingredient into the listing, contact the manufacturer of the base, tell them what your adding and how much, and they'll let you know where to add it into your % listing. I did that with SFIC.. and they were able to help me.

It's been a long time, but this is what I did.

From what I have been told from my distributor, if it is less than 1% you can just add it to the end of the list in any order (I add by the amount used tho) and you are fine. If you are adding more than 1% it might be worth a call to the distributor or manufacturer for additional assistance so you know that they are labeled correctly.
