joyofsoycandle
I havent ever tried it with soy. With like a pillar blend soy wax do you think you could whip the wax as you would do when making a grubby candle. Didnt know if it would work. topofmurrayhill
You can whip it if it gets out of line.

soygirl
Yes, you can, but it has to be a soy pillar blend. I add a little cornstarch to mine, but I don't know if that is completely necessary. Let it cool until it starts to form a skin, and then start whipping it, otherwise you're just wasting time. Then, once peaks start to form, work REALLY fast, because you only get about two minutes to work with it before it hardens and you have to melt and re-whip it. Thank you soygirl for that tip. Im asking because I want to top off votive candles with whipped wax and then put embeds like chocolate chips, blueberries those types of things in. Thanks! Marilyn
I whip soy:whip: . Actually when I do my whip I use straight soy wax, nothing added and does just fine.

It's straight soy wax for me too, but I'm not prejudiced against soy wax with a different preference.
