ajna
is it better to use white soap or clear soap to make a true black color soap? TIA
SiberianSF
It would be pretty hard to make black soap from white soap. You would need to use a lot more color, and still might have just dark grey soap. White soap has titanium dioxide in it, and it lightens any color you put in it. Just a few drops of black oxide in the clear MP will make you a black soap.
Starr
I have tried and tried and tried to get black soap out of white MP. The best you get is a charcoal gray. You've GOT to use clear base. Though the clear base won't retain much of it's clear quality after you dye it, so don't be worried about having a smoky quartz type of look. It will be too dark to see through.
