  1. Bad news I just got an email, that they can't really locate these molds, so they are taking a note fo the request, but no promises
  2. So yes, I wrote to them. The lady I talked to said she will pass it on as a request, but she herself loved them, and said that if they can locate them, they might carry them. And if they can't locate them, they might create something similar
  3. CareBear, yes I saw these, but they are very expensive and frankly not very impressive either.... Those little ones are so cool looking. I want Scented, maybe it is worth a shot to ask then
  4. http://www.shop.dazzleflyz.com/images/1230688444402381014150.jpg I see few places selling this soap, but I just can't find the molds for the life of me. Has anyone seen them anywhere?
  5. So, when I am placing items to the bottom of the mold (like checkered squares), and pour soap over it, they float up... Is there anything I can do to get them stay at the bottom?
  6. lather is still fine. It is not crazy foamy, but nice nevertheless. I added maybe one table spoon to a pound of my SFIC base. I think I will push it little bit more next time. My extra hard base can take it. Even if it cuts the leather, nothing a few drops of organic castille liquid soap wouldn't fix
  7. do you guys have pictures of those half moon soaps that come out of that mold?
  8. So, I LOVE Shealoe. Bars come out very moisturizing. I have given them as samples to several people, and everyone came back with raving reviews. I personally didn't even need to use lotion after showering with those. I don't know if I notice much difference in soap when I add silk though...
  9. So, I have been using milky way slab molds. I love the final product (nice shape, good weight), but I hate the cutting. I have been searching forever for the nice multi-cavity mold that would be similar in weight and size. No luck I have some heavy duty 4 cavity molds, but they are huge (6.5 oz), and that's just too much of soap. Ideally I want something that is 4.5 oz, rectangular, and has around 8 cavities on one tray. Does this even exist?
  10. It would be pretty hard to make black soap from white soap. You would need to use a lot more color, and still might have just dark grey soap. White soap has titanium dioxide in it, and it lightens any color you put in it. Just a few drops of black oxide in the clear MP will make you a black soap.
  11. prairieannie, 100% agreed on your last paragraph I love MP, and possibilities are endless. My hands just can't catch up with my ever exploring mind So, I CAN warp MP into anything I want? I wouldn't want to put a cigar band on it, because I still feel like the soap needs to be protected from hands and dust, etc.
  12. They look very sharp! I feel like I am missing something, I thought MP soap can only be wrapped in cello?

ooohh, this reminded me of: http://www.attirancecosmetics.eu/en/natural-cosmetics/ I nearly faint every time I come to this site to get some inspiration....
  14. I emailed SFIC and asked them who carries their bases Brambleberry was one of the stores. Plus yes, Anne Marie said that too.
  15. Brambleberry's exclusive bases are from SFIC
  16. Thank you for replies! That's great to know.... So, does everyone use those metal stamps, or could I use the rubber stamp as well?
  17. I like the look of the stamped soaps, but I noticed that the only stamped soaps I have seen, were CP. Has anyone tried to stamp their MP soaps?
  18. Hello everyone  My name is Katya, and I operate under http://www.lombrozodesign.com My expertise is web design, landing pages, search engine optimization, newsletters, emails and banners. I guess anything that has to do with online marketing. I also do logos and print, but not enjoying it as much as stuff above
  19. So, I have made the tray over the weekend, I substituted extra hard (french milled) base for the regular low sweat MP that I had a few pounds left of. Layers stayed together, no problems at all! To me it confirmed, that the base was my problem. I still love that extra hard base, but maybe not for payering now
  20. Mystical Angel, thank you for the welcome No, I don't do CP, I am so fascinated with MP, I am not sure I want to do anything else. It is just so multifaceted, and has a potential to be as complex as you want it to be. But I am still holding on to the idea of making a dog soap.
  21. So... I think I figured what my problem was. It is Extra Hard soap base. I have not had separation problem before I started using it. Funny thing is, if I don't add any colorant or FO to the layer - it sticks. But as soon as I start adding stuff, it comes off in solid, smooth piece. Just falls off.
  22. so, now someone has to take a picture of their soap on the counter, and we can compare!
