cybersix
Ok, next week I'll get my first aluminium mold, is a 4"x4.5" cylinder.Should I use one wick (a very large wick)? Two wicks (Smaller?)?It has only one wick hole, I was just wondering how to wick it and how a candle made with this could burn.ByeSabrina

Candlelovr
I would try the 48 first and then if you dont get the melt pool that you want, go with the 72 but it sounds like that would be too big. HTH
cybersix
thanks so much, but 48 ply isn't too thin? When I wick a small mold, say 2 or 3" what should I use?I need to say that until now I used wicks without knowing their dimensions, so I just try!! SatinDucky
Not know how the numbers translate and there being only three sizes, I would try the large. Reasoning that the small would work for probably votives and medium for average sized candles. Which size did you use in the 3" pillars? If that size left a wall on 3" then it'll likely be too small for a 4". Though if the large creates a blowout, you may have to use the medium anyway and settle for the extra thick wall, unless you order a different size. goosebay_1999
I have used a 2/0 or a 1/0 square braid depending on how much color and fragrance. The 1/0 is larger than the 2/0 FYI.
