msalex28a
Soy, Palm or a mix of soy and paraffin? Right now I am using ecosoya cb 135 and I'm not happy with the results, scent and lots of frosting. I'm wondering if I should experiment with different kinds of waxes? Jeana
Are you asking which wax has a stronger Hot throw?I think palm is the hardest to wick. Lots of people add paraffin to soy to reduce frosting and increase throw.
msalex28a
Yes when you burn them.
Jeana
I was adding more to my other post when you were posting. I think that is just each person's opinion, which one throws better. If you haven't worked with anything but cb135 then try other waxes, there are better ones out there.Start with the wax supplier closest to you, so you can save on shipping. kimmeroo
Yes..imo..but I didn't like how hot it burned. The jars got so hot you couldn't handle them..I used to use the status jars with a CD 14..12 on a couple of scents. Hope this helps.:smiley2: Kimmeroo
SpaceGirl
Remember that a lot depends on the fragrance oil, too. you're asking a very single-threaded question about a complicated issue. Even chandlers who use the same wax find variation in hot throw with the same supplier and definitely between suppliers.

I haven't gotten back to testing cause of the holidays and still haven't found time. But it sure was pretty and threw great. Colored pink and used Raspberry Zinger from NG, what a great scent.
