Karen M
I will check them out and sniff, but there used to be a candlemakers kind of close to me and we became friends, placed orders together to save on shipping. I went to her Open House when she opened a shop , and bought candles. She laughed and said , do you really need these?I said well yes the scents are different than what I have. Luci
I don't make electric candles but love them! I've bought one from another forum member and want more! I've also got one of Donita's beautiful tide pool candles in my den that I love. I don't see myself getting to either of those techniques any time soon.I'd love to learn to make the luminaries with the shells like recently posted in the gallery, but my hours at the office have increased so much that I don't see me there, either. ScentedLuxuries
Yes, I have been known to buy a few small items such as tarts from other candle makers on Etsy. I like to support my fellow crafters and artists.
WendyByTheBay
Yep and my husband thinks I am nuts because of all the candle supply stuff that has taken over the whole house.
SueH
I like to support other crafters, too. Plus I don't make pillars so I'll buy those from other people.
Jcandleattic
I do for several reasons. 1) help other crafters out2) scents may be different3) may be a different type of candle than I make4) research - It always helps to get someone elses perspective on what THEY consider a perfect burn compared to mine. I may find I like mine better, or I may see that I could improve on mine... Most of the time though it's for reasons 1 thru 3...
