4jets
Hi, I was wondering if anyone else uses 4786 wax for tarts & votives??? I have used this wax for so long and I really do like it, but of course I have nothing to compare it to because I am a horrible creature of habit and have not tried any other wax. I used to order it from peaks but they stopped selling it, so I was thinking of maybe trying something new, any suggestions??? thanks! sudsnwicks
This is a container wax, I have it and use this for containers. I got mine from Peak too. They have now replaced it with their own custom formulation, I heard it is really good, so you could give that a try.
SatinDucky
I rather like it, but then I'm like you. I've never tried any other. Not to mention I don't make many containers.
reginarn
But I Tried Several Other Waxes And Fell In Love WithJ300. I Also Like J223. I Got Tired Of The Repours. AlsoJ223 And J300 Cures Faster. Hth:)
Trae
I use 4786 for my votives and tarts. The votive goes in a glass anyway so it actually ends up being a container candle eventually, right? LOL! Anyway, I've been using this wax for 4 years with votives with great results.Trae :smiley2:
sudsnwicks
I use 4786 for my votives and tarts. Is it hard to unmold your votives since this is a softer wax than votive wax?
linwvr
has anyone tried the new peak blend?
sudsnwicks
Here is a review of it:http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5480&highlight=peaks+container+wax
Trae
Suds, I have no problem at all getting the votives out of the molds. I use wick pins so a gentle tug and they come right out. Only had to use the freezer once in a rush.Trae
