lori640 Posted February 3, 2009 Share Posted February 3, 2009 I got this oil from Tony's a couple of years ago and when I smelled it I thought it smelled like what Strawberry Shortcake dolls used to smell like, KWIM? It was very fake and rubbery smelling. I used it a couple times in soap and people seemed to like it, but this weekend I was at BBW and smelled it in there and loved it, but it smelled nothing like the one I had. 8-GRAN-ONES Posted February 3, 2009 Share Posted February 3, 2009 i also like berts...i only use it in cp soap..it does get a soft carmel color..but the last batch i made..i used 1 teasp td..and it has stayed a very nicecreamy color..i have a bar that is 9 months old..and still smells very good..so it really sticks...in my gb 415 soy wax..it does not have a real strong ht.but the others i have used didn't have any stronger ht.but i would like to find one that does..as i love this scent.. 8-GRAN-ONES Posted February 3, 2009 Share Posted February 3, 2009 yes i was having a senior moment..I have use their BRV..and loved it...but for the price difference, they both smell the same, and both hold the same in my cp soap..i just use td, and get the samecreamy color..i use 1 tesp per 2 lb batch..but neither one is very strong in my candle wax.. Maggie Posted February 4, 2009 Share Posted February 4, 2009 I love Daystar's. I tested this scent when it was one of Serendipitys'. Daystar bought her fragrances when she went OOB. In candles...I use a parasoy wax and it is awesome. I'm a CP soap newbie and this was one of the first scents I tried in soap. It's been almost a year and the little piece I have left is still white with my raspberry swirl...that looked like crap. LOL But the soap still smells wonderful.
