creationsbycharity
So I wanted to make a clay and tea tree oil soap. I must have gone overboard with the essential oil (never used it before). Here's what I put in:2 pounds of goats milk soap2 Tablespoon of sea clay1 Tablespoon tea tree oilMy kitchen stinks so bad right now! LOL Do you think I can rebatch it with another 2 pounds of soap and save it? Or did I totally over do it?
bells4shells
There are some good EO calculators out there that help you figure out how much to use. I was looking at MMS' last night. It let's you look by EO type of type of soap. Really helpful!
berrycreekcandles
Yep EO is really strong, I usually only use a few drops of it
Candybee
You know I've used tea tree essential oil in my M&P soaps at 1 tsp for 2 lbs. The tea tree is very strong and even that amount was pretty strong. My customers told me they could smell the tea tree.I generally use essential oils at one third the amount I would for fragrance oils. creationsbycharity
Thanks everyone! I ended up using a 1/2 pound of the strong soap and melting it into another 2 pounds of soap. Much nicer than the first batch
Candybee
There you go! I love remelting M&P. Sometimes the remelted soaps are better than the originals. Isn't M&P fun?!!
