babalouey
I would love to learn how to make this type of candle. Particularly the colors variations and the textures. Any suggestions? Thanks!
candlesprite7
Looks like a 3 color mottle. If you do a search on Mottling or mottle you can figure it out.
Candybee
I was thinking the same. Looks like a layered mottled wax candle. Nice one.
babalouey
I've read you can use mineral oil - is that the best ingredient to create a mottled candle?
homecomfort
Mineral Oil is used as a replacement to fragrance oil when you just want an unscented mottled candle. If you want a scented candle that is mottled, you can just use fragrance oil.By the way there are recommended waxes for mottled candles also, straight paraffin will do the trick. 4045H from Candlewic is a great pillar wax that will mottle and so is IGI 1343. deb16
I use the wax from Candlewic (4045H) and it is a great mottling wax, very easy to use. Only difficulty is that it bleeds color and fragrance if you use over 5% FO even with the Vybar 343. It makes a beautiful candle though.
