  1. I have never ordered from them but have looked at their site many times. I would have ordered from them but not now. I personally would like to thank you for sharing what happened to you. Many would not. You deserve a pat on the back for letting everyone know what could and probably will happen to them. There are many great suppliers out there and I think as much as we pay for supplies we deserve great customer service. The fact that she was not even willing to work something out with you versus losing completely your business tells me that her customer service is second to making money. I will definitely stay away from them. Thank you!!!
  2. That is beautiful!! I am just fixing to get started playing with MP soap. If mine turn out anything like that I will be happy. Really, both are beautiful!!
  3. I use the wax from Candlewic (4045H) and it is a great mottling wax, very easy to use. Only difficulty is that it bleeds color and fragrance if you use over 5% FO even with the Vybar 343. It makes a beautiful candle though.
  4. How cute that they came in to find you!!! I love Wal-Mart for everything!!
  5. I like all those colors, especially the burnt orange. I think that would be a great choice. How do you get a dark (navy blue) though? Every time I try I end up with more of a country blue. I even added a little black. I am afraid if I keep adding color it will clog the wick? Does anyone have any suggestions?
  6. I do mostly designer pillars and colors are what concerns me most. I do three layered mottled pillars and have them in a couple of home interior designer shops and gift shops and they mostly go by color. As long as the scent smells good to them they are just mostly looking for a certain decor to compliment. HTH
  7. Beautiful marbling!! How do you do that? I use the 4045H mottling wax and love it, but what wax do you use for that? Very, very unique!! Colors are fantastic!!
  8. I do pillars in mottled tilted three layers and do not really pay attention to the scent names in regards to the colors. I make more designer pillars to match decor rather than flavor to match colors though. I sell to designer shops and a few gift shops and they do not seem to mind. As long as the scent is good and the color goes with whatever decor they are complimenting, it does not matter with them. HTH
  9. Thank you all!! Darbla I wish you did too. I would certainly buy everything from you!!!! I will check out the other sites. Thanks again.
  10. Do any of you know a supplier in either Tennessee or Mississippi for candle and B&B supplies? Thanks.
  11. Thanks for that information!! It will help a lot of people.
  12. What a darling idea!!! I would love to see a picture of one! What an original.
  13. We use the same FO for the oil burners that we use in all of our products.
  14. We found some great shelfs/bookcases at yard sales really cheap. They have worked very well for us. Plus, since we picked them up at different yard sales, it gives us a very unique and eclectic look. For example, we have a pastel pink/pastel blue/pastel yellow book shelf that we are able to coordinate with the different candle and bath & body supplies. Plus it draws attention to our booth. We always have a wide age range of customers that not only stop by but also buy from us. Another suggestion would be to get from portable drawers that you could keep under your table so that you could restock easily as certain candles sell out. We never have problems setting up and we never run out of candles.
  15. For customers that buy a complete candle set (one of each size) or a gift basket, we take candles that we have an excessive inventory of and give the customer a nice poly filled grab bag to keep or give as a gift. The customers seem to love this and it's even increased our business because our customers tell their friends, who tell their friends, who tell their friends, etc. This (free) word of mouth advertising has been REALLY GREAT for our business! :)
