candlesbyMe
I am back for some advice... does anyone know if you can do the MP soap in a pringles can for a mold? If so, would you mind sharing w/ me the "How to's" for it.. Thanks so much!!!Jenni England
flightoffancy
You sure can! What I do is use my can opener to open the end that's sealed and then put the plastic cap on one end and pour. Once it's set up I put it in the freezer for about 5 minutes, take the top off and it pushes right out.I do my chunk soaps in the pringles cans and they turn out great. candlesbyMe
So DO I have to cut it down or will the bottom that is there be enough to hold the liquid inside? Ihave the Taller cans is why I am asking.. I am soooo new to this MP soap making and dont want to make too big of a mess~ LOL
flightoffancy
I don't cut mine down and I use the tall ones. Just make sure when you pour that you are doing it somewhere that you can leave it until it sets up. I've never tried to pick one up while still liquid but me thinks the lid wouldn't hold that much weight.Just pour and leave it sit until it's firm, then transfer to the freezer for about 5 minutes before you unmold it. elitenaildesign
So can Cp soap be put in a pringles can too? I wonder how much it holds.
Alajane
The one time I tried it, it leaked out the bottom so if I tried it again, I would put the lid on and then tape over it before pouring (and set it in something "just in case").But other than some leakage, it worked fine.Jane
dirtybirdsoaps
I actually just tried this a couple weeks ago for cp, It didnt leak at all but......for some odd reason it caved in in the center of the can. Its really odd since the CAN was fine it was just the soap I didnt line mine, or cut out the bottom. I cleaned it out, poured it in, put the pringles lid on and put it in a sock LOL worked great, and cheap since we go through pringles like crazy
carmellajarvis
Pvc pipe works well too. I get it cheaper than most, since my husband is a plumber. So, if anyone one needs pvc at cheaper prices, just let me know.
tamtam
I use Pringles cans all the time. I never had any problem with leaking, but I don't pour it in when it's boiling hot. It works great for chunks, curls, other embeds. Here is one example, made with rose geranium EO, I called it Rose petal.whoa sorry the pic is so big. I'll post more pics of other examples.
Ruina
Interesting. Never thought to do this. Questions: Do ya'll line the can first? If so, with what? Or would this can be a "one time use" only?
