ladysj Posted September 4, 2008 Share Posted September 4, 2008 I used tkb's crucible red to make my strawberry soap. I added vanilla stabilizer because if I remember correctly it turns. I was going for a nice red with a cream color. Well there is no red at all to the crucible red. So now I have a strawberry soap that is brownish, greyish black. I added some glitter bordeaux on the top and swirled it to get a little bit of red color. I could just I hate it when things don't turn out the way you were planning. It smells awesome though LMAO. I have a cucumber mint soap on the shelf that was suppose to be green but I got a fugly brown and it is not pretty at all. Your soap, while not the color you wanted does look great. I'd just think up a new name for it...something in the baking line maybe since it looks like a layered cake? I had this happen with a orange chiffon that I made, beautiful creamy light orange color, like a cake and it turned a baby poop brown color...it still sells!
