jchernyb
I just dont understand. I am test burning a 3 inches wide container. I am using HTP 83 and CD-10 wicks. I am not getting a complete melt pool. I am using Taylored container blend which is a 1 pour wax. I am testing in what I thought was a fairly light FO----White Tea. I used 9% FO. Can anyone help me before I pull my hair out. Thank you.
SteveinPA
Did you try a HTP93 or 104? The 104 would probably be the better choice. I use the 104's in that size container with J223. According to a chart I have, a CD10 and HTP83 are equivalent. Check this thread for the chart. Hope this helps.http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7746
Kaybee23
I would go up a size or 2 on your HTP wicks. I might would try a HTP93, HTP104 or maybe even a HTP105. I know this wax is a blend, but not sure what all is in it. You said you were testing white tea, on my White Tea & Ginger I have had to wick up in mine. Good luck. jchernyb
I am going to order the 93 and 104 tomorrow. I have alot of Christmas containers to do as presents and the last thing I need is a hangup of wax. I am trying to get new customers not have them turn the other way! Thanks alot! sharyl55
Do you have a CD 12 to try? That's what I use in most of my wine glass candles made with a J223 blend and they are just under 3" in diameter. I seem to have a terrible sooting problem with the HTP wicks. jchernyb
I just ordered some CD12s so I will see if that will work. I think I like the burn on the CD better compared to the HTP. Time will tell. Thanks!
