thecandlespastore
Did you try popping it in the microwave for 15 seconds to see if that will clear it up?
marrwilliams
Sometimes it clears up in sequester too. It could be the FO though.
ladysj
I had the same thing happen. I just scented 2 bottles and it looks more of a creamy color not the clear anymore with 2 different fo's it also did it on the first one I did so that's 3 bottles 3 far that have done this. jolambert
thanks for the replies i will be trying a different fo tomorrow tried the microwave thing (note to self high powered it blew all over the mic. LOL) but what was left was still creamy cloudy (at least i know its not just mine) i so wanted it clear like on z's website and all the others who make ls well back to the drawing board thanks again jo
Tara
Make sure your LS is slightly warm before adding fo. That will usually help
Hibiscus
Sequestering is done before you neutralize or add the fo/eo. Once you neutralize and add fo, the soap won't get any clearer. In most cases when you add the fo, it will become cloudy, temporarily. I've only had this happen once and that was with my first batch. I think it was because I neutralized with boric acid and added the fo while the soap was warm. I always add my fo/eo and neutralizing soultion to RT soap, and never have any problems. Perhaps I just happen to choose well behaved fragrances and eo's:undecided HTH
thecandlespastore
I find that if I nuke my soap for 10 seconds, then add the FO or Eo, stir like mad with a whisk, it always remains clear. I did have one episode where the soap took the form of clear thick snot, but that was the FO's doing (Mojito by NG.)
jolambert
hi i tried the heating and adding fo Clear before fo's added. could the ph be to high (waiting on the ph test strips they'll be here mon.) thanks for the help jo
Tara
Some fo/eo's can cloud LS so I don't know if that's the problem. I have 3 fo's that make my LS opaque but all of my other fo's are fine.
