dirtybirdsoaps
I was thinking about trying to make a batch of soap with soy milk. Ive never tried anything besides water, so I figure Ill screw up the first batch LOL but I still want to try. I keep all my items vegan thats why the soy for those who are wondering. I have done a search so my apologies if there has been a thread but all I kept finding is wax threads. I have seen the other milk threads where it said to freeze the milk and then pour the lye directly onto it and stir like crazy, but keep it in a ice bath? Any tips would be appreciated. If someone had a recipe for this it would be even better TIASamantha
Hibiscus
I've got some unsweetened organic soy milk that I plan to soap this weekend. I am thinking of replacing my gm with soy milk if it turns out ok. I will let you know how it turns out.
Barbara AL
I love soymilk in my CP soaps they are so creamy. I do a 50/50 solution of distilled water and then add the other half of soymilk after the lye is in the oils.Barbara
Suzanne
I've soaped with soy milk but I freeze it first before adding to the lye mixture. And I add it very slowly. It does make a very creamy bar.
