Circle
I think I have possibly worked out how to stop fingernailing (although I like the look myself) If it is a warm to hot day and you pour your wax hot (180+) then it almost guaranteed to fingernail. Pouring cooler like almost rustic temp I have not seen 1 fingernail. I also found when pouring at a cooler temp on a cold morning, I will never get a fingernail. Hope this makes sense, but it seems to be the answer.
Scented
LOL! It's not. I can pour on a really hot day and not get them and on a really cool day and get them.
topofmurrayhill
Fingernailing is the same thing, more or less, as mottling. Any additive that gets rid of mottling will get rid of fingernailing. If there's already such an additive in the candle mixture, just use more.
