6006a & EZ Soy

Recommended Posts

Has anyone mixed these 2 together and had any success with them. I will be trying it 50/50. Crossing my fingers, having been try to find a mixture I like every since I moved to Ga 2 yrs ago. Used to use EZ and J223 in Fl but does not work for me here. Makes no sense since there is only a 230 mile difference. The love of wax.

Hmmm, I have tried C3, 444, 464, 6006, 6098, 4627, 4642 (J225) and others and so far am leaning toward the 6006 as the best...

I started adding 4627 and then 4642 (J225) to the 6006 to help increase the scent throw... still testing...

Why would you want to mix the 6006 with another soy wax though? ;)

With the straight 6006 I could not get a good melt pool alot of the time, to much smoke and soot, and always a big dip in the top, Had to always use the heat gun and I refuse to have to do a 2nd pour. They did smell good tho. I poured the EZ and 6006 on Friday will post results when I test them.

Update: On the 7th I poured Apple Jack and Spiced Cranberry both BCN at 6% per lb. So only 6 day cure. After only 15- 30 minutes they are AWESOME. After 1 1/2 hours the MP's look great, wick burning clean. CD12 in a 9 oz Apoth jar and CDN 20 in 16 ox Apoth jar. I just wish that the wick would stay straight and not melt the wax to one side. I may try a performa next, haven't had much luck with it in other waxes tho".

UPDATE: OMG I THINK I FINALLY HAVE IT. 6006 / EZ SOY 50/50 AND 1 OZ BW PER 5 LBS. AND 8% FO, I ONLY USE 1 BROP OF BROWN PER 5 LBS. I REALLY LIKE THE SMOOTH FLAME WITH THE BW ADDED. I POURED SOME TESTERS 36 HOURS AGO AND AM BURNING THEM NOW AND THE ARE AWESOME. I MEAN AWESOME, I LIKE TO SMELL SOMETHING WITHIN 30 MINS OR I JUST AM NOT HAPPY. I THINK THIS FORMULA IS FINALLY A KEEPER FOR ME. MY JAR IS A 16 OZ APOTHECARY JAR (THIS ONE) http://www.jarstore.com/catalog/product_cat.php?subid=104

I AM USING 2 CD OR CDN 8 WICKS. ONLY HAD 1 OZ OF EACH FO SO DID NOT TEST THE 9 OZ JAR YET.

OH DID I SAY IT IS AWESOME? I AM SOOO HAPPY

I just wish that the wick would stay straight and not melt the wax to one side.

Twist the wicks several revolutions after sticking them to the bottom of the jars. It helps equalize the off-center (self-trimming posture) burn of CDs & CDNs. HTH :)

Hello,

I have always just used Ez soy and now trying 6006 wax. I believe 6006 is already an 80/30 mix. I have been reading where a lot of you like to mix 50% EZ with 50% 6006. I use the 8 oz. square mason jars. Should I use the CD12 or 14 with this wax or and LX 22? I also have ultra wicks that I could try. I am at the last minute here trying to figure this out since i am unable to get the 50/50 where I bought it before. I used CD12 in 50/50 wax before. I usually only pour about 1 oz. per lb. of wax. Appreciate some help. I usually have more time to test more. Thanks. Deb
