Sal_gal48
I notice a lot of flameless candles by the big fragrance companies like Glade, but wondering can these be made at home?
mizbizzyb
like wickless candles? Or am I missing something. I haven't the glade flameless.
TheQueen
If you're speaking of wickless candles, certainly. Just make them as you would any other candle but with no wick. You heat them on a candle warmer.
Louise
I hadn't seem them either. But you can check them out herehttp://www.gladeflamelesscandle.com/howitworks.aspx
artcwolf
looks like a mini warmer, with a flickering LED light to make it look like a candle.
Sal_gal48
Hmm...maybe it's a wickless candle, because the flameless requires a more complex heater to melt the wax.
Nanasnecessities
Have you seen the new ones from yankee? They have a fan in them to get the scent out of them.
BruceCarvesWax
Just a marketing ploy! It is not a CANDLE its just a way to smell up your house and they use the word candle to help sell it. LED flicker light and it looks like it puffs out scent just like the deals in the restrooms on a timer. It runs on batteries, that should tell you something, you cant heat something with batteries it just takes too much battery power so its not warming the stuff at all. Jane42
The Glade candles always made me think of the "electric" candles...where you make a shell with a mold, then put an electric silicone bulb inside of it. The heat from the bulb brings the scent out from the shell.Oh, gosh...I just can't seem to make sense right now......sorry....It is not the same as the Glade Flameless...because there is no candle wax involved with theirs - but if you wanted to make something that gives off scent, flickers and does not have a flame, this would be the closest I can think of.Good Night....LOL
