silverm00n
I bought a pound of babassu and it came in a plastic bag. The stuff was fine for a day or two and now is turning into a liquid and separating. Does this oil require refrigeration or do I leave it as is in room temp? eugenia
I don't refrigerate mine. It will soften at higher temps.e

topofmurrayhill
Babassu has a good shelf life but you could still refrigerate it if you like. If it's well mixed and goes solid quickly, you can just take chunks out. Otherwise you have to mix it every time, maybe even melt it. Mine is in a cool storage room where it won't fraction out. Carrie
Mine has never melted but my shop never gets over 75, even in the summer.
