patka
Does anyone have experience with this 6 oz jar? I am using Glass Glow, is the jar difficult to wick? Anyone could recommend the type/size wick for it? Thanks
Meg_10
I personally think that glass glow is to pretty to be hidden behind jars like those. that's MHO. Don't think you'll get to see the beauty of the candle thru jars like it.Meg
patka
Meg,I think you are right. I thought of them because I saw them on sale for a good price. I like the Metro / Status Jars but they seem to be very expensive. I think I will just keep on looking.... Thanks
Cissy
Those are pretty jars. Can you share with us who carries these jars? I wonder if they have larger sizes, at least 8 or 10 oz. sizes.
logcabinmomma
Ohh, I just saw those jars yesterday and was wondering about them... they don't look straight sided enough for me, and they come way in at the neck...Did I see them at Alabaster? I think... or Aztec...-Kristi
Cissy
I thought about that too, Kristi, because of the wicking, but want to check out the measurements. Also, the thickness between the ribbing will be very important. Otherwise, with the design, they would probably make beautiful reflections while burning. I don't think they would be cost-effective, though, at the price you could charge for a 6 oz candle.Thanks. I'll do a search with the suppliers you mentioned. patka
They have them at www.sunburstbottle.com and also at www.alabastercandlesupply.com
Cissy
Thanks Patka, I'll check out Sunburst's site for measurements. Alabaster has them "while supplies last" @ 50 cents each. As much as I 'love' testing , I don't think I will start with a clearance type jar that might not be available for a long time.
