creativegems
I'm working on a project and I can't find anything to use to secure paper or cardstock on matting(same stuff used in picture frames) without it rippling around the edges. I have the matting on wood so this isn't happening because of the mat moving. I've tried mod podge and spray glue and rolling with a rolling pin and they both do not keep the paper edges totally stuck to the mat. I'm using the whole sheet of paper. Not that that should make any difference.lol After I figure out how to do this than I'll paint with a clear acrylic. Any ideas? I'm about ready to make this a second rate project but not willing to give up just yet. Thanks for your help.Janet
mrsposey
Try fusible web. Iron it to the back of the paper and then iron it to the matting.Nancy
SatinDucky
Have you tried the double sided sticky paper? I don't remember the specific name but it's just like the double sided cello tape but it comes in sheet sizes.
Arlene
Rubber Cement will do the job. You can pick it up at Wal-Mart. Brush it on the mat board and the paper...let it dry...then press the two together.HTH
