pdevine
The site that these were on said that it was hand etched. Anybody have any idea how to do that? TIA Portia
Newbie
Hand etched and panted on the outside after the candle was made perhaps? :undecided
candleessence
I have carving tools that get hot & I can "engrave" candles like that. Usually you just paint in what you carved. Much easier to use decal paper though:D
Jcandleattic
Either that or she used a kitska(sp?) knife.. It's like a wood burner tool, but you use it on wax to carve with. Then it was probably painted...
pdevine
I have the woodburning tools, I wonder if they would work? I think though that it might get too hot and melt the wax too fast. Portia
Fire and Ice
Using an extreamly small dremal bit you could carve candles and not have any melted wax. Then use a stnecil to aire brush the paint on, blocking the area off to be pained. But I just can't see a company or a chandler doing this unless it's a pretty small account.
