JenW
I am totally new with b&b, and really have no clue What is the consistancy of cocoa butter, with natural scent? Mine seems to be rock hard and extremely diffucult to get out the container. Does this seem right? Like I said...no clue. Thanks
MochaMama
Hi Jen - Cocoa Butter is rock hard. Some of us have to use hammers, chisels, screwdrivers, etc. to chip that block up. Some of us (like me) slam it on a concrete surface.....but even then that doesn't break it up like you need sometimes.
JenW
Thanks, I thought maybe I got a bad batch or something:rolleyes2 That would be just my luck lol.Wait, you said block, mines in a tub. Off I go to find a chisle!!!
Peachdream
I get mine in ziplock bags and just the whole thing into another larger bag and go to town with my husbands rubber mallet. If you have trouble getting it out of your tub you could melt it over a double boiler or in the microwave and pour into another container with easier access. It will set up just as hard again. Have fun:)
Darbla
Wow, I did not know that. I thought it would be squooshy like shea or mango butter.
CareBear
well, mid summer in New Orleans it would be...But think of a chocolate bar - and how it snaps (not milk chocolate, but dark). It's the cocoa butter in the chocolate that gives it that hardness and snap.
Carrie
LMAO...Anyone in my generation knows cocoa butter. It was all the rage for tanning. Rock hard but gets soft as butter in the sun. Slather it on for a nice dark moisturized tan. OK, that was years ago before we realized just what the sun would do to us.
