Suds_n_flamezz
I have my own ritual on how I tint my candles and was talking to a woman who did it almost totally oppisite of me. I couldn't believe how she did hers. So I am just kind of curious, what are your techniques? Do you use liquid, Chop up blocks, shave them? I shave mine. I try to keep the shaving as close to the same size as possible. And then count out the shavings and do it that way. Silly, eh?
Candybee
I use both the dye chips and liquid dye. It depends on the candle I am making, the color I want to achieve, etc.
Judy, USMC
When you get into selling and restocking the color differences between batches is very noticable when you put them side-by-side on a shelf. I've switched to liquid to keep the colors consistent.
Scented
I use a little bit of it all. I shave off of a block for my colors, I use multiple chips and tend to hover around the liquids the most, unless there's something I don't want to try to mix. Stella1952
We've used dye and pigment chips and liquid colors from JBN. The pigment and dye chips work okay, but to get the same exact shade, one has to weigh them - not easy with small batches. We like liquid dyes the best. Guest Candelishis
I used to use reddiglo chips, but now use only peak's liquid dye. Colors are soooooo much nicer and more consistent.
