Lorrie
I would like to have a couple of my b&b items tested before I start selling. Can anyone tell me where I can get information for this? Thanks

Lorrie
Thank you Robin.Maybe we should add something like this to the B&B stickies. So that the newbies know they should have their items tested before selling them.
RobinInOR
Good idea. Anyone have any other testing links or information to add to this thread? I can move it to the FAQ after we collect a few more. Here's a link to stability testing information http://www.zenitech.com/documents/Stability%20Testing.pdf Some is beyond us, but the info on cycle testing in different temperatures is interesting.http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/~ebam/bam-23.htmlInfo on how the microbiological tests are done, just in case you personally know a lab that might be able to do this for you. daniedb
Are you kidding me? I cannot believe how affordable she is. I've never seen anything for under hundreds, if not a thousand dollars for a single product.I'm in love. Thank you, Robin!
Lorrie
I found these on From nature with love's tie. These may help someone too.http://www.fromnaturewithlove.com/library/productchallengetesting.asp

I've never seen anything for under hundreds, if not a thousand dollars for a single product.I'm in love. Thank you, Robin!I contacted her too after Robin posted the link But the testing she offers is different than challenge testing - she said that she doesn't do challenge testing beause its financially out of the reach of homecrafters. She did mention a "poor womans challenge test" lol She said to get the testing done that she does offer, when it passes, use and abuse the product for a few weeks and have that tested... RobinInOR
That's what I'm doing, the poor woman's challenge (like that!) It's a good compromise to the $400 challenge tests...Test brand new unopened product.Test unopened product after a few months. This also tests your preservative and how stable it is for your normal shelf life.Test used product after a few months.
