pjm
I melt my wax in a double boiler. Once I'm done, I wipe it out with a paper towel and boil water in it to remove the excess wax. Since it's not a good idea to put wax down the drain:( I pour it out in my gravel driveway. Sounds funny, I know. Does anyone have an easier method??? Aileen
I let mine accumulate in those big coffee cans. Once it's full I put the lid on and toss it in the garbage cans outside. HTH
Connie
I never put water in my pot. Just wipe with paper towels. Cleans right up.
Breanna
You can take a cookie sheet and put paper towels on it and then turn your pot upside down..place in the oven on warm and then wipe it with paper towels instead of putting water in it to get the wax out,,JMO
sudsnwicks
Not that funny. I pour mine on my driveway too. Don't forget even the double boiler water should not go down the sink as it could contain traces of wax.
Fire and Ice
I agree with suds. I still use a double boiler method but my melt pot are good size and hold about eight pouds of melted wax. I use two at one time. When finished pouring, I just wipe out the exess wax with papaer towels and throw the water in the pan out my basement door. Alohagirl
I clean up my melt pots and double boiler with a heat gun, then wipe clean with a paper towel.
