  1. This is an exact dupe. It's one of my favorite scents.
  2. I like number 3. It was the first one to draw my attention.
  3. I use mineral makeup from alot of different companies. The last samples I bought came in 5 gram jars and those aren't big enough to swirl in. I always use a little plastic container or whatever I can find. I say keep the 3 gram jars because unless someone orders the full size jars they wont be able to swirl in them anyway and I hate those little baggies! I think offering empty jars is a good idea too!
  4. I really really like the top two. My daughter would love the pink. Nice work!
  5. I love Mineral Make-up. I won't ever use anything else now. I've been using it for about 4 years and finally settled on Lumiere. I have normal to dry skin. http://www.lumierecosmetics.com/
  6. I really like the poop brown one. LOL But maybe with a different scent of course. They all look great.
  7. Hi, I've been making soaps and candles for about 5 years, but I have been away from it for about a year. Been on the board lurking just nothing to post. Anyway, here is my first ever goats milk soap. No scent and no color. It's 3 days old and still very light. Will this get darker? 2nd is Spring Mountain Mint from OT. The top popped of my dye as I was trying to get my swirl color ready and while I was trying to clean up that mess my soap got to thick to do a proper swirl. Sure feels good to be soaping again. Thanks for looking! Aileen
  8. I bought some shea from a co-op a while back. The hostess actually froze it and shipped it in little styro foam coolers. It didnt seem to change the shea at all.
  9. I just finished up a gallon of their silk and shea. I got it just for family use and will be ordering another. It's very nice!
  10. My son is 14 and has just recently broken out really bad. He must have had 50 pimples..white heads and red bumps on his forehead. I've started him washing his face every night and morning. In fact I just finished supervising him. I made up a concoction of Jojoba oil (closest to skins own sebum from what i've read) and a few drops of tea tree oil. I mix it together and he massages it in allover his face. Then he takes a very warm washcloth and lets it lay over his face until it starts to cool. He does this several times and then starts wiping it off with a final rinse. His skin is no longer oily and the difference it's made in his acne is unbelievable. Everyone is right about the over the counter acne meds. They just dry out the skin causing the skin to produce more oil. This may not work for everyone, but it's worth a try. HTH
  11. I mix a drop or 2 with my moisturizer morning and night. I also use it in my soap recipe's depending which one i'm using I use 10 or 20 percent.
  12. Monave Minerals has great stuff if you want to just buy it. They also sell the ingredients if you want to make your own. http://monave.com/
  13. I love the Scented Bean! I've tried Mimosa and Tangerine, Sweet Serendipity, Seaside, Citrus Splash, Peace and my absolute favorite Garden Refreshmint. All stong throwers in soy/paraffin blend and 1343 pillars.
  14. I burned it 24 hours after pouring. Nice smooth creamy appearance. The scent throw on a scale of 1-10 I would have to say is a 10. (energizing FO) Im getting almost a perfect burn the 1st time around. After 4 hours 1st burn and 2 hrs on 2nd burn I have just the slightest hang up of wax residue on the sides..just a tad. It's really burning quite beautifully. I really like how this was isnt as sticky like J223 or comfort blend and it's not a hard slab either. Just cut right through it with a butter knife. No wet spots either. It seems to take color pretty well too. So far I am very happy with this wax.
  15. The scented Bean has one called "Garden Refreshmint" It's absolutely wonderful. It's one of my favorite scents.
  16. I poured my sample last night using their wax and I followed their directions exactly. I have no wets spots at all. The wax looks really nice and creamy. I used color and was suprised how nice it came out as I didnt use that much. My scent sample was energizing and the cold throw on a scale of 1-10 is definately a 10! I used 8 % and could back with no problem at all. I have not burned this yet, but so far I am very impressed. I use a soy/parafin blend myself at 60 % parafin and 40 % soy. Whenever I up the soy in my blend I just dont get the creamy look. I dont know how she does it but it works!
  17. I've been using a tablespoon in a 3 lb batch. I add it just as it starts to trace when it's still quite thin to make sure it incorporates well. HTH
  18. I use corn starch in my soap. I got the idea because I was looking at a web site one day of home made cp soap and she listed all her ingredients and that was on her list of every soap. For all I know she could have been dusting them with it LOL anyway, I tried it and I really like the feel.
  19. The ingrediant that I left out was the soy bean. Im going to do some more research and look up the ingredients of the FBB. Please post your results if you happen to try this.
  20. I just had to post this. I made some cp soap using my favorite recipe. I dont know what I was thinking but I grabbed my foaming bath butter instead of another ingredient without even realizing it. And didnt even find out until a couple months later. I kept thinking..man, this is the best soap i've ever made! My family and ppl at work I had sold some too kept coming back to buy some as gifts and raving about it. It was very moisturizing, sudsy, creamy, feels like silk in the shower! Of course I have no way to actually run it thru a lye calculator but there was definately no bite to it. I can tell ya one thing tho. I will definately keep making it for myself and family. Anyone else done this on purpose? lol
  21. I've used bare escentuals and love it but like everyone else I do NOT want to pay that price. I was looking online last night and found a web site, and it was sooo cheap I was almost afraid to purchase from it. I ended up getting a starter kit. I got 2 foundations, 2 blushes, 1 bronzer, 1 mineral veil, and 3 multi purpose powders. You pick the colors. For 13.95 and 4 dollars shipping. They are all the 5 gram jars. Same as BE starter kits come with. I will post after I get them to let you know if I like them or not. http://www.musthaveminerals.com/
  22. I got mine yesterday and will pour it sometime this weekend. I got the energizing. It smells great oob. Someone please clarify something for me. Is it 30% parafin 70% soy? For some reason I thought it was the other way around. Thanks, Aileen
  23. I 3rd the 4 oz samples. I'd get alot more samples if I had that option. *sigh*
  24. I havent tried anything new in a while so I thought i'd try something different from Daystar. Has anyone tried the following scents and what did you think of them. Raspberries and White Roses, Hey Hey Cute Cabana Boy, Tempt Me and Thai-Tini Thanks!
  25. I've just used the last of a gallon I had. I used it all myself, so you can imagine I had that jug for quite a while. I had it sitting next to my nightstand in my bedroom and I kept a filled lotion bottle at work and I've never notice it seperate at all. It was pretty thick also. Just makes me wonder if it is going to differ from batch to batch. Would like to hear others comments also.
