sparkette
What do I do when the wax package does not have a "general" fragrance load on the label? I used 1oz. of FO and the candle seems to be doing great, so I am assuming an ounce per pound is the general rule of thumb? These CD wicks are awesome. Guest Candelishis
In my experience, the FO load can actually depend on the FO...I have found that some oils are actually heavier and you can't use as much as you can with a thinner, lighter oil. Does that make sense? I usually go from 1 oz per pound, and adjust from there when testing. If they're doing great, then that's good!! Don't mess with them!! LOL. LOL.What she said....and make sure you keep good notes. There are some I can get away with using .8 ounces per pound of wax for a great throw others up to 1.2 ounces per pound.....it all goes with the testing. More is not always better either.
kandlekrazy
If you know who actually manufactures the wax (not the supplier) you can check their website for info on frag. load. Or sometimes even the supplier's website will have the info...it's rare to find that info on the bag or carton of wax.
